Audio Transcription FAQ
How do we transfer our files to you?
Our Clients can upload files via our client area on this site. Each user will be allocated a unique
login and password. Each time you require us to transcribe your files, simply log in and upload, it's
that easy.
What detail is transcribed and into what structure?
We will agree the level of detail transcribed prior to starting your project. It's completely bespoke
to your requirements. The structure of the document is again bespoke and if you have a general format
or report that you require, we will use this. Most of our clients opt for a word document and usually
present us with a template that they want us to follow.
Are my files secure, especially when uploading?
All files are transferred using a secure FTP, which is password protected and use a secure socket layer
(SSL) and is protected by a military firewall. All our websites and SFTP's are hosted on servers at our
Darlaston office, with disaster recovery back up at our Bradford site. In addition, all our sites have
excellent security measures, including biometric entry system, Redcare monitored alarm system, remote
CCTV, 24 hour on site security, bullet proof glass* and a bomb proof walk in vault* (*Darlaston only)
How do you ensure confidentiality?
All of our agents sign our confidentiality agreements, which adhere to the provisions of the Data
Protection Act 1998. If you required a more detailed solution, we will happily sign your own
confidentiality agreements.
What is your turnaround time?
We have three levels of service, 24, 48, and 72 hours turnaround. Costs of transcription are reflected in
which level of service you require, with a 24 hour service costing more than our 48 or 72 hour service.
How do you ensure what you key is accurate?
Not only do we use intelligent software (developed in house) to check our agents work but we also quality
check all our agents work at random. We are so confident of our accuracy, we will adhere to financial
penalties that we have wrote into our SLA. We call it "money where our mouth is" guarantee.
How much do you charge?
Prices start at £45 for one hour of spoken audio.
What type of digital files can you transcribe?
We can handle a great variety of audio file formats including but not limited to DSS, MP3, M4A, VOX, WAV and WMA.
