Go to top Tata steel again choose PECS to carry out the data capture of their annual stocktake. PECS has been chosen to carry out data capture services by Leeds City Council. Client Services Manager, Paul Illingworth said, "This is very pleasing, especially as Leeds Council is very local to our West Yorkshire office and it’s nice that Leeds Council has decided to support a local business. We look forward to working with Leeds Council and thank them for putting their faith in us."

Go to top Once again PECS are pleased to announce that we recently processed examination scripts for the Western Cape in South Africa. In just 4 weeks, scanning at two locations in Cape Town and processing all the data at our Mauritian office, we successfully scanned and processed over half a million exam scripts. David McEwen, our UK IT Manager who worked closely in setting up the project said "This is a great example of how PECS works so well as a team. Not only did we have to set up scanning solutions in South Africa but we had to do it in two locations. The scanning teams were made up of our UK and Mauritian staff, who worked very close with our client, enabling us to process the project remotely."

Go to top Continuing with our hardware investment programme, PECS purchased a further 4 Kodak scanners to carry out the scanning of African examination papers. Go to top After successfully processing Grade 9 exam results in 2010 for The entire Western Cape of South Africa, Pearson SA confirm that they have chosen PECS to process Grade 3, 6 and 9 for 2011. Group MD Steve Littlechild said "This is a fantastic achievement for both PECS and Pearson SA and endorses our already excellent partnership that we have formed with Pearson SA. Group MD Steve Littlechild said "This is a very proud moment for all the team that has worked so hard to make this happen. Our IT Manager Jimmy Large and his team have worked so hard to develop a site which not only looks fantastic but is very informative, something we believed was missing in The UK ."
